Why I make Music.

My love for music started in elementary school when my mom rented me a trumpet from Anaheim Band Instruments. Around the same time, supportive teachers introduced me to jazz through artists like Charlie Parker, Chet Baker, and Lee Morgan, while countless movie nights sparked a fascination with film scores and orchestral music. Composers like John Williams and James Horner had a massive impact on me, and my dad’s love of sci-fi definitely fueled my imagination and interest in cinematic storytelling.

What really kept me connected to music, though, was the sense of community around it. Marching band and jazz band taught me how rewarding it is when everyone plays a role in building something together, and that collaborative spirit still shapes the way I approach music today.

That passion eventually led me deeper into composition, orchestration, recording, and production. Somewhere along the way, I started a rock band, fell in love with the studio process, and stopped thinking about music in terms of genre. These days, my work moves between cinematic scoring, songwriting, orchestral music, rock, pop, jazz, and whatever else feels exciting in the moment.

More than anything, I just love making music with people. Whether it’s writing songs, building cues, producing tracks, or helping bring someone else’s vision to life, collaboration has been the most rewarding part of the journey. If something here resonates with you, drop me a note and let’s make something cool together.
